ACADEMIC ADVISING
Pursuing a secondary education can be a stressful and complicated process. At PROSTOCK, our team is dedicated to helping students make this very important decision by providing effective and professional guidance with SAT preparation, tutoring, résumé building, and athletic recruitment. Our staff has over 20 combined years of experience helping students find the preparatory school or college that is right for them.
The Process
In our initial meeting, we will sit down with the student and the student’s parents to map out realistic goals for their future education. Whether it is assessing the student’s ability to continue their athletic career at the next level or considering the availability of scholarships, we want to make sure that our clients choose an educational path that allows them the opportunity to make the most of their post-high school experience.
Follow-up meetings include advising on:
- Tutoring and SAT Preparation
- Admissions counseling
- Essay writing assistance and evaluation
- Résumé development including guidance with extra curricula activities and community service work.
- Choosing colleges or preparatory schools
- Developing strategies and practices for collegiate success
- Scholarship opportunities for student-athletes
- Off-field and off-ice development, including strength and conditioning consultation and nutritional guidance
